Bridgerton Season 5 Expands Cast With Three New Additions for Francesca Story

Netflix has officially announced three new cast members joining the ton for Bridgerton Season 5, which will center on the queer romance between Francesca Bridgerton and Michaela Stirling. The new additions include Tega Alexander as Christopher Anderson, a charismatic "Regency-era Casanova," along with Jacqueline Boatswain as Helen Stirling and Gemma Knight Jones as Lady Elizabeth Ashworth.

This season takes place two years after the death of Francesca’s husband, John, as she reenters the marriage market only to find her pragmatic plans upended by Michaela's return. Filming for the eight-episode season began in London in March 2026, marking a significant milestone as the series explores its first leading same-sex love story.
